THE OPTIONS - To keep things simple, there are typically two types of gate automation systems, underground or surface mounted.

UNDERGROUND SYSTEMS

Underground, as the name suggests, involves the installation of discreet underground electromechanical gear motors which via the touch of a button on the transmitter (remote) neatly perform the operation of opening the gates. As the vehicle passes through the gates, photocells detect that the car has traversed the entrance and after a pre-programmed time delay, automatically close the gates behind you.

SURFACE MOUNTED SYSTEMS

The surface mounted option offers a more cost effective alternative with the use of modern and aesthetically designed electromechanical gear motors that are either neatly fitted to the rear of the gates, or to pillars, performing the same operation.

SLIDING GATE SYSTEMS

These systems provide an ideal solution to automate sliding gates. Safe, secure, noiseless operation, make these an excellent choice for those drives when space is at a premium and where the installation of conventional swing gates is not practical.

AUTOMATIC & MANUAL BARRIER SYSTEMS

All our automatic barriers systems are engineered for heavy duty usage. They are specifically designed to run continuously, 24 hours-per-day, thus are popular with sites where access is continuous, day and night. These barriers can be operated by all, or a combination of, our access control systems.

We also offer manually operating barrier systems. Although not as popular as the automatic systems, these can offer a cost effective entry solution. These barriers have a rear ‘counter weight’ to assist in raising the arm by hand. The arm can be locked in both the open and closed positions. These are often used on car parks that are opened through the day and closed on a night.

BARRIER & BOLLARDS

Automatic bollards offer added security for vehicles without interfering with pedestrian access. The Automatic bollards we install are hydraulic. They are generally strong, reliable and offer non-stop operation. They can be operated individually or simultaneously.

We offer a selection of manually operating bollards and static bollards. These are available in various sizes. As standard these are fully galvanised to help prevent rusting and powder coated in a selection of colours. Alternatively they are available in stainless steel. The manual rising bollards are easy to operate. They have a locking mechanism at the top of the bollard to ensure ease of use. All of our rising bollards retract fully into the ground to prevent any trip hazards.

SAFETY OPTIONS FOR ALL AUTOMATIC GATES & BARRIERS

We feel very strongly about the safety of our products. To that end, we always install safety features such as underground induction loops and photocells to help prevent the gates/barriers from accidentally lowering or closing onto vehicles or pedestrians.
